Actiph Water
The ionised, alkaline water
Work With Actiph Water
The Journey So Far
Actiph water was founded by 15-time Guinness World Record holder, and ultra-endurance athlete, Jamie Douglas-Hamilton, following a gruelling rowing expedition from Australia to Africa.
During the 5,000-mile row, Jamie and his crew found that drinking up to 13 litres of purified water a day was flushing essential minerals out of their bodies, eventually leading to hallucinations and loss of consciousness.
This all changed when one member of the crew mixed seawater with his drinking water. The effect was so profound the crew started to mix every second bottle of drinking water with one third sea water, creating a makeshift sports drink. The crew would go on to beat the existing world record by two weeks!
For Jamie, this experience crystallised the vital importance (and often overlooked nature) of proper hydration, whether to support audacious rowing expeditions, or to maximise mental and physical performance at work or home.
It was this moment, in the middle of the Indian Ocean, that inspired Jamie to learn all he could about hydration, with a view to creating a range of truly healthy, functional drinks that could help ambitious individuals reach their potential and achieve more every day.
Waterfall water
This was when Jamie realised how important hydration is to performance and thought about what else was possible with water. This led to a quest to produce the healthiest and most effective water that would encourage people to live an active balanced life
Following extensive worldwide research, Jamie discovered that the Japanese have water that is ionised, supercharging it to create high pH alkaline water. They call this ‘waterfall water’ because of the change of electrical charge created by rushing water in a waterfall. This discovery sparked a desire for Jamie to bring ionised, alkaline water to Europe and so the Actiph Journey began.
