What is your recruitment experience to date?

13 years experience within the Aberdeen market – predominantly within Commercial and Professional staffing across a variety of sectors, including Legal, Financial, Construction, O+G and manufacturing. Working across temporary, permanent and contract roles, I pride myself on my local knowledge of the recruitment market to ensure that my clients and candidates receive first-rate service.

Why did you choose to join Eden Scott?

Excellent brand reputation within the market; a prestigious name within the local area who acts as a multi-discipline one-stop-shop for their clients.

What sectors will you focus on?

And what type of roles will you be working on? Predominantly commercial and professional staffing solutions across a variety of sectors - having had experience within roles varying from HR, Marketing, QHSE, Secretarial and Logistics most recently.

What do you like to get up to outside work?

I have an 18-month-old boy called Lachlan who keeps me so busy there isn't much time for anything else, but I do really enjoy getting out to see family and friends and enjoying the odd expedition up a Munro when I can!

Give us your top three tips for candidates contacting you for a job - what do you look for?

  1. Think about the most important thing in a job for you, it's not always just moving for better renumeration – think about the whole package a job/company can offer.
  2. Always make sure you have an up-to-date CV, the recruitment market can move so quickly you can sometimes get left behind on a role you are interested in as it's not up to scratch when you want to apply.
  3. Always be honest and communicate with your Recruiter, whether your expectations change, you have a counter-offer on the table or you just want to run through the options of your job search, always keep your Recruiter up to date, not only will they appreciate it but they have a unique insight into the market and often have sage advise to offer!
