Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen is an innovative, accessible and professionally-focused university offering a wide range of Undergraduate and Masters degrees and PhDs available on campus, on line and on some of our partner universities overseas.
We are recognised locally and internationally for our teaching excellence, our links with industry and our record of graduate employability. We are proud to have attained Gold in the UK standard Teaching Excellence Framework. We are one of only 3 Universities in Scotland to achieve this highest level. 97.6% of our UK domiciled students who graduate with their first degree are in employment, undertaking further study or in training 6 months after graduating. (HESA 2018) And our links to industry mean that almost all of our students will spend some time on placement in their chosen profession.
We serve around 16000 students each year and have over 90000 Alumni based all around the globe. We have invested over £130m in our state of the art Deeside campus and can offer practical applications in all subjects with our own oil rig simulators, nursing wards, moot courts, TV studios and chemistry and engineering labs. Gray’s School of Art is the top Art School in Scotland and again offers an excellent space and high quality tools and facilities for students at all levels.
We are focused on delivering innovative research solutions for business and industry that provide economical, societal, environmental and cultural benefits. We work on an interdisciplinary approach with many of our high quality researchers distributed across a number of academic disciplines.
Our team at RGU are welcoming, friendly and professional in everything we do.
Working at Robert Gordon University
Be part of their amazing journey by joining 1500 colleagues who already enjoy the vibrant community, richly rewarding work, competitive pay and lifestyle afforded by generous holidays and flexible working options.
We’ve come a long way since 1750 when the original college was founded at the bequest of Robert Gordon. The University today generates an annual group income of around £92 million, employs 1500 staff and delivers courses to over 15,000 students.
We've invested more than £100 million in the last 10 years in new buildings and facilities. A further investment of over £120 million in the next decade will see all of the University's academic activities located at our riverside campus in Aberdeen.
This is no ordinary place to work. We have a team of highly committed staff who are pivotal to our success and enjoy state-of-the art facilities in one of the most beautiful campuses in Europe.
“I would definitely suggest that RGU is a beneficial career move. I would highlight the staff quality and positive working environment to persuade anyone looking to join to do so. The campus is well situated within Aberdeen and creates a very pleasant working environment”
