Green Bioactives Ltd, founded in 2020, is developing a proprietary technology-driven biomanufacturing platform with USPs facilitating the discovery and generation of plant natural products at yields their competitors cannot achieve.
Their cost-efficient biomanufacturing platform enables opportunities for improved products across a diverse range of existing and expanding markets/applications offering attractive product revenues for both current and future customers.
Such high-value natural products are often sourced from slow-growing undomesticated host plants that are rare, protected, endangered and/or growing in remote locations subject to seasonal harvest, poor soil conditions, disease, extreme climate change and political instability. Together these conditions adversely affect their supply chain reliability and economic availability/applicability.
Alternative to Wild Harvest
Plant stem cell culture represents a more sustainable biomanufacturing alternative to wild harvest.
Large-scale high-yielding plant meristem cell culture-based biomanufacturing addresses climate change impacts by reducing land use, carbon emissions, fossil resources/energy utilization, water use and waste.
Despite little or no proactive BD on their part to date, they have already garnered significant commercial traction/validation from a number of top-tier market-facing customers.
