My Dundee-based client is a successful SME in the aerospace engineering sector, which designs network technology for use for on-board spacecraft applications. This innovative and ambitious business provides electronic test and development equipment and chip designs for spaceflight applications.
To meet growing demand, they now seek to expand their engineering team to work on new products related to spacecraft on-board data-handling and avionics networks. They're looking for a talented Electronics Engineer- not necessarily with previous space/avionics experience- to join their team in a diverse and technically interesting role. The business has a superb, innovative yet relaxed working culture with some excellent leaders and technically gifred individuals witin the business.
They will consider people from a range of experience levels- either Degree qualifed with some good industry experience or someone who has just completed thei PhD. The successful candidate would spend a minimum of 2 days a week on site in Dundee; working from home/remotely for the other days of the week- once lockdown has fully lifted.
The successful Electronics Engineer will ideally have experience in the following areas:
- Device selection;
- Design of circuit boards;
- Schematic capture;
- Circuit simulation;
- Input to PCB and housing design;
- Writing of unit test specifications for manufacturing;
- Writing of related documentation;
- Input into relevant promotional material;
- Providing support to end users.
Salary will be competetive and based on the experience of the individual candidate; depending on their industry and/or academic experience up to PhD level.
