Salary: £80,653 - £107,170 (plus £25,882 management fee) per annum
Full time (40hours per week)
This is an exciting opportunity to fulfil a very significant and high profile leadership role in Healthcare Improvement Scotland.
You will bring ambition, energy and strong collaborative working to this high profile, national role, with strategic focus on ensuring that the clinical community have a meaningful and effective role in the design and delivery of care in Scotland. Strong leadership, interpersonal and team working skills are required, as well as the vision and drive to successfully promote continuous improvement in the quality of healthcare, clinical practice and patient safety throughout Scotland through professional networks and within our organisation.
You will support the delivery of HIS work to support implementation and improvement in healthcare provided by NHS Scotland, Health and Social Care Partnerships and independent healthcare, providing assurance to the public on the quality and safety of healthcare across Scotland.
The Director will also be a member of the executive team of Healthcare Improvement Scotland, and contribute to shaping the strategic direction for the organisation.
You will be educated to degree level and have MBChB Degree with appropriate postgraduate qualification and active on the General Medical Council Register with a current licence to practice.
You will be an experienced senior clinician with experience as a strategic governance lead and a detailed understanding of medical best practice, regulation and government policy.
