Due to further expansion our client, a leading developer of renewable energy globally now requires a Project Development Manager to join the team. This is permanent opportunity offered on a remote working basis initially then office based in Edinburgh when feasible to do so. The position is focussed primarily on the development of Onshore Renewable Projects in the UK and Europe.

Reporting into the Head of Commercial the Project development manager will be responsible for the development of projects up to commencing the construction phase. Selected additional responsibilities will include:

  • Management of all internal and external service providers for: consents, landowner relationships and agreements, procurement, construction management services, grid, site investigations and project design and stakeholder relations.
  • Work with legal, consenting, procurement, comms/stakeholder management, policy and regulations and asset management teams to support delivery of the project through to the construction phase.
  • Support of the acquisition of projects
  • Manage procurement of WTGs and BOP and all necessary ancillary services for construction
  • Manage delivery of all consents and condition approvals required for construction including CDM2015 obligations


  • Educated to Degree Level
  • At least five years' experience in delivering development projects through FID to construction
  • Experience in renewable energy projects including turbine, balance of plant and grid procurement
  • Strong interpersonal skills including engagement with regulators, communities and landowners
