Software Support Specialist (Remote Working)

Eden Scott is delighted to be working with Stretchsense, developers of cutting-edge motion capture technology. They are developing incredible motion capture gloves based on cutting edge stretchy sensor material combined with their proprietary mocap software - Hand Engine - that allows for the creation of some of the most detailed character animations ever made at a fraction of the time of traditional mocap methods. With some of the world's most recognisable global tech brands as clients, they are keen to ensure their products are deployed successfully with premium ongoing support and the best possible user experience. We are recruiting for a Software Support Specialist to join them and help improve the future of motion capture technology!

The Role

The successful Software Support Specialist will ensure that the Stretchsense product is effectively deployed and adopted by customers by providing technical support. You'll be involved right from the early stages of the sales process through to deployment, supporting the Stretchsense Sales Team by providing technical support and answering new customer queries and then supporting those customers through onboarding and deployment. You'll ensure a seamless transition and ensure that both the gloves and software are adopted into the clients' animation and motion capture processes as smoothly as possible. You'll be at the forefront of client engagement, addressing the unique requirements of the customer and adapting processes as required. In addition, you'll play a key role informing product development roadmaps based on your documented experiences and interactions with customers.

The Stretchsense team is headquartered in Auckland, New Zealand. With a number of existing European customers and further sales opportunities, this person will be the first Scottish based hire and will support local European customers within their timezone. There will however be some flexibility to ensure contact with the Stretchsense team. Once global restrictions allow, you'll have the opportunity to be onsite with customers (who are at the forefront of some of the world's most exciting industries) to provide ongoing product support.

The Person

In order to be successful in your application, you must show:

  • A track record of providing great customer experience through the deployment and support of technology and software products, ensuring technology is adopted effectively by new users / customers
  • Experience of supporting sales teams by providing technical expertise and knowledge as part of the pre-sales process
  • Superb communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • The ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • A passion for technology and a willingness to learn

Any knowledge of programming languages (C, C++, Javascript, etc), Unity, Unreal Engine, Maya, MotionBuilder or motion capture for films or gaming would be advantageous but not essential.
