Floors Castle is the largest inhabited Castle in Scotland and home to the Duke and Duchess of Roxburghe. As well as a family home it is a major 5 star visitor attraction with outstanding gardens and one of the most romantic and iconic buildings in Scotland.

Floors Castle is operated with a sympathetic, commercial focus with continuing investment in new features to create a must-see destination both for visitors and local residents.
New developments in the renowned walled garden have been established and further exciting projects are planned centred on the gardens and adjoining woodland.
Food is a key part of the business with cafes and a deli with special menus and food to go produced in the Castle kitchen.

The role of Event Coordinator will be very varied and will take the lead on all aspects of events and be responsible for sales, administration and delivery of corporate events & functions, weddings, day visitors events & engagement, school groups, travel trade, outdoors events and film and location bookings.
Identify and deliver innovative and practical ways to increase turnover and profitability of the business.
Achieve targets for sales growth and profitability.
To oversee the development of the customer relationship management (CRM) database system.
To plan, organise and promote public events for visitors to the Castle, Grounds and Gardens
To be responsible for the management and control of the events budget.
To follow up all potential leads and pro-actively convert functions, corporate and event enquiries, and opportunities whenever possible, meeting potential customers to showcase the facilities.
To manage the event itself and be the main point of contact for visitors and/or customers.
To deal with contracts, deposits and all aspects of event administration, including customer liaison and booking of caterers, casual staff and third party suppliers, where necessary.
To oversee arrangements for all, functions and corporate events and ensure that these are managed successfully in line with the agreed proposal and to the client's satisfaction.
To ensure smooth running of all events including set up and clear down requirements.
Key skills and experience required
Applying candidates should have a CV that details at least three years event management experience in a top end venue or hotel.
Candidates should have both reactive experience in taking client enquiries and also operational experience in running events.
Excellent salary dependant on skills and experience is on offer circa £25k plus various generous company benefits in order to secure the right candidate.
Benefits include generous employer pension contribution of 11.6% (employee 5.8%) 23 days holidays plus bank holidays and an annual bonus.
