Technical Operators - Optical Test

£20000 - £24000 per annum + plus shift allowance

Eden Scott's client is one of Scotland's growing technology businesses focusing on the manufacturing of optical components. Using direct write laser technology, the business delivers unique 3D optical solutions for customers globally.

Due to recent investment they are in the process of growing their team and are looking to add several new roles to the business.

There are now requirements for Technical Test Operators to work within the manufacturing area with the primary function of testing 3D optical components.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Running optical test processes
  • Running test rig calibration checks
  • Cleaning and polishing glass die
  • Supporting the laser manufacture of optical integrated circuits
  • Supporting with product cleaning, inspection, and cleaning tasks
  • Processing parts as per manufacturing process flows and recording test data as required
  • Supporting with wet etch requirements

Candidates will ideally have experience of working within an electronics manufacturing cleanroom environment with good experience of optical test and handling optical fibres. Experience in areas including optical polish, wet etching, optical metrology, and laser processing of glass will be highly advantageous. There will also be a requirement to support other manufacturing areas as and when required.

This is a shift position with a current rotation of 4 on / 4 off continuous 12-hour days.
