The successful candidate is to be based in the capital (Stanley) of the Falkland Islands on an initial two year basis. Relocation assistance is provided.
A Site Manager is required immediately within the construction division of a company based in the Falkland Islands. The role involves a two-year relocation over to the islands to work predominantly on a new build housing development.
The organisation was granted its Royal Charter in 1852 and since then has been supplying the Falkland Islands with a wide range of essential services. The company's main areas of activity embrace retail (including food, clothing, electrical goods, home furnishings, gifts and DIY), residential and commercial property, the sale and hire of 4x4 vehicles, travel services including flight bookings, airport transfers and luxury coach and walking tours for tourists, insurance, agency services for cruise ships and fishing vessels and the provision of freight and shipping services to and from the islands. The construction division of the company deals with a variety of projects, from home extensions to purpose-built executive homes, warehousing and offices. Over the next two years an abundance of new build timber kit housing is planned to take place within the capital, Stanley, with the initial £4 million project most recently underway.
A Site Manager is one of the main requirements on this new project. The preferred candidate will have experience managing timber kit developments but managers from other backgrounds will also be considered. The successful candidate will receive a basic salary of circa £50000 per annum, plus benefits.
