Assembly Technician

We are looking for a highly motivated Production Assembly Technician to join our Client's fast-paced Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to help drive growth in our manufacturing and operations activities.

My client will put the successful candidate through their HNC / HND in Mechanical Engineering. This is a great role with excellent development opportunities.

The Role:

• Mechanical assembly of ATEX products using hand tools


• Electrical assembly of ATEX products using hand tools


• Cable preparation and assembly of ATEX couplers and sockets


• Electrical safety testing of finished products


• Functional testing and inspection of products


• Fault finding, re-work and rectification of electrical and mechanical systems


• Order picking using Reach forklift truck (full training will be provided)


• General Stores activities including goods receipt, order packing and despatch

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a manufacturing, installation, service or repair environment (Recently qualified graduates will be considered)


• Strong practical skills and experience using hand tools


• A strong eye for detail and high standards of workmanship


• A self-starter with the ability to work alone or as part of a team


• A willingness to learn and develop

Salary:

• Up to £26,000

Hours:

• 39 Hours per week - Flexible between 7am and 4.30pm.
