Courier / Water Sampler

You will be a part of a team that samples, tests, and analyses water and waste water samples from across Scotland every day.

What You'll Do:

As a Sampling Courier, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Collecting water samples within a designated geographical area and safely transporting them to Scottish Water's laboratories in Edinburgh or Inverness, following established procedures.


• Booking in samples and meticulously recording all essential information into mobile devices.


• Accurately labeling and logging samples with all the necessary details.


• Delivering stocks of bottles and sampling supplies to depots Scotland-wide.


• Adhering to clear timescales to ensure timely sample delivery.


• Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of your Scottish Water vehicle through daily quality checks.

What You'll Need:

To excel in this role, you should have:

• A current UK-issued driving license, preferably without any points. You'll be provided with a Scottish Water branded van that you can keep at home.


• While prior work-related driving experience is advantageous, it's not a strict requirement.


• Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and basic computer literacy. You'll be using a mobile device to log and track your samples, so comfort with smartphones and tablets is essential.


• A strong commitment to Health and Safety, with a dedication to doing tasks correctly rather than taking shortcuts or risks.
