An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team in the role of looking for an enthusiastic individual with relevant events experience to join the operations team as an Event Executive. The successful candidate will be providing operational support to our Event Managers on a wide range of events.


This is a permanent full-time role and is an integral part of supporting our busy Edinburgh team based in our office in central Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised events' professional to further their career within the events industry with a creative and forward-thinking events company / DMC.


Key responsibilities of the role:
Responsible for supporting the event managers and company directors with ensuring projects are completed on time and in accordance with the proposal and client brief


Assisting with the creation and management of event proposals and event budgets, adhering to clients' briefs and expectations with a demonstrable creative flair for food, beverage and event styling


Proof reading of proposals with an eye for exceptional attention to detail


Brilliant problem-solving skills


Venue searching according to the brief


Sourcing and managing external suppliers


Co-ordinate hotel and venue booking requirements Processing invoices and logging them within an internal system, setting up new job numbers, updating our WIP sheet, ensuring invoices are processed on time


Building relationships with suppliers, negotiating to get the very best value and quality for the available budget


Liaise with clients (via e-mail/phone/contact reports/status reports/presentations) as directed by the event management team


Preparation of event documentation and onsite lists and reports, including working documents, function sheets and preparation for all client events


On site support with client events


Representing the company at industry event


Key skills and experience required:


To be successful within this role you will ideally already have 2 years plus corporate events experience within a hotel or venue or other event management company.


You will have a positive attitude and enthusiasm and be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team. As a logical thinker you will be able to multi-task and take a proactive approach to your work whilst managing your client and internal deadlines. You will also be confident working with big personalities and be able to ask questions and seek assistance when necessary. You will have a flexible and proactive working attitude and be willing to work outside of core hours to assist with early morning, evening, weekend or Bank holiday events.
