Excellent opportunity for a high-calibre IT Infrastructure Lead to join our global Glasgow-based client. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.

With a proven track record in people management, you will lead and guide a talented team of 10 IT professionals, including server engineers, network specialists, and collaboration experts. This role is central to delivering infrastructure services to ensure

About the Role

As an Infrastructure Lead, you will lead our Server & Compute, Network, and Collaboration teams, who are responsible for:


  • Managing on-premises servers, storage, and backups across offices and data centres.

  • Overseeing LAN/WAN technologies, firewalls, and internet access solutions.

  • Supporting our global Unified Communications and Exchange platforms.

  • Empower the team to deliver exceptional services, prioritise tasks effectively, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Work closely with other Infrastructure Team Leaders, ensure compliance with processes, and manage the BAU and Jira backlog.

Key Responsibilities

Team Management:


  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of skilled IT professionals.

  • Allocate resources based on skills and workload to optimise team performance.

  • Conduct regular 1-2-1s, provide feedback, and guide career development.

  • Monitor SLAs and KPIs to ensure excellent service delivery.

Quality of Service:



  • Ensure smooth implementation of changes and risk mitigation.

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement to enhance workflows.

  • Oversee service delivery to meet or exceed stakeholder expectations.

Agile Methodologies:


  • Act as Scrum Master, leading Agile ceremonies and prioritising tasks.

  • Encourage adaptability and responsiveness to evolving business needs.

Stakeholder Engagement:


  • Serve as the key liaison between the team and stakeholders.

  • Communicate project updates clearly and effectively to all parties.

Essential Skills and Experience:


  • Proven experience in team leadership and people management preferably within a global organisation.

  • Expertise in handling escalations and delivering BAU initiatives using Agile methodologies.

  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and time zones.

  • Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, ITSM tools (e.g., Cherwell, ServiceNow), and the MS Office suite.

  • Resilient under pressure, proactive in problem-solving, and adept at managing risks.

Desired Skills and Experience


  • Agile qualifications (e.g., AgilePM, Scrum, Scaled Agile).

  • Experience managing small internal projects and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Location: Glasgow city centre hybrid working.
