IT Infrastructure Manager



This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager to lead in a fast-paced global IT environment. The organisation are commencing a 3-year transformation programme and this role is a key hire to modernise their technical direction.



You'll be instrumental in fostering collaboration across Compute, Network, and Collaboration services, ensuring seamless, secure, and efficient infrastructure operations.



In this pivotal role, you'll work closely with their IT Infrastructure Manager based overseas, managing the UK-based team and supporting global initiatives.



You'll ensure operational excellence by overseeing daily activities, prioritising business-as-usual (BAU) work, driving projects, and maintaining the infrastructure performance at its peak.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Lead and manage the UK team (circa 20 staff), ensuring high service standards across time zones

  • Support global infrastructure maintenance and upgrades

  • Collaborate with senior management to align IT infrastructure with business goals

  • Drive continuous improvement in service delivery and operational efficiency

  • Foster a culture of cooperation across global teams

  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies




Your background and experience:






  • Proven people management and leadership experience, managing Infrastructure and technical teams in a global role

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders

  • Track record of modernising technical environment and influencing strategic technical roadmap

  • Expertise in managing escalations, defining KPIs/SLAs, and ensuring they are met

  • Experience in Agile project management methodologies (AgilePM, Scrum, etc.)

  • A track record of fostering collaboration, innovation, and a process-driven culture

  • Knowledge of IT trends, suppliers and products
