Eden Scott are currently supporting our client; a forward thinking and boutique style Accountancy Practice who are looking to recruit a Payroll Senior to join their close-nit and friendly team based in Glasgow.



This is a full time, permanent opportunity working 35 hours per week. The role would initially require you to work onsite with scope for flexible working thereafter, working 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.



Working within the payroll team, the Payroll Senior will be responsible for the management of a diverse portfolio of clients, dealing with end-to-end payroll processing, including complex payroll processes. The ideal candidate will come from a strong payroll background either within a practice environment or working within a Payroll Bureau.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Management of a diverse portfolio of clients in full compliance with all legislative matters

  • Experience of end-to-end payroll processing, including complex payroll processes and legislation

  • Working knowledge of the current payroll and taxation legislation

  • Experience of auto enrolment administration including re-enrolment

  • Excel skills and a solid experience in data analysis

  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy

  • Excellent communication skills (internal and external)

  • Experience in managing client expectations and resolving any issues raised



ESSENTIAL SKILLS



  • A leader of your work and your professional learning

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to positively impact and influence others

  • Previous experience of working with Sage Payroll and Brightpay software systems would be advantageous although not essential

  • Prior experience as a payroll senior in a professional practice or similar role is essential
