Eden Scott is delighted to be retained by ERIBÉ Knitwear, to recruit an experienced professional for the position of Quality Standards Co-ordinator.


Established in 1986, ERIBÉ is an award-winning knitwear design house and craft manufacturer based in the Scottish Borders. The company is renowned as a "cottage industry gone global" and boasts an avid fan base around the world. Its collections are available at over 600 prestigious stores in 22 countries worldwide, offering traditional yet uniquely modern Scottish knitwear for both men and women. ERIBÉ operates with a team of 60 colleagues spread across several locations.


As the Quality Standards Co-ordinator, you will be directly responsible for developing and creating the Quality Management System within Woolly Towers primarily but also for the wider business as a whole working with our subcontractors. The role will provide strong technical guidance to the whole team in a clear understandable manner.


Main Duties:



  • The QA FLM will be responsible for the quality performance in the main ERIBE Factory & 3rd party suppliers including measurement, analysis, root cause, correction, and improvements

  • The QA FLM will be responsible for ensuring that the QC checks in place are specific, relevant, and measured.

  • Responsible for setting and ensuring that the Right First Time target of 95% is achieved.

  • Collaborate with colleagues in manufacturing team in particular CI FLM to achieve RFT.

  • Ensuring all data is maintained and is accurate in both development and production documentation.

  • Effective collaboration with Head Designer and Garment Technologist through the process to support conversion of concept to practical garment and translate that into the he QMS.

  • Help to identify new techniques and materials to improve our product offering in terms of quality.

  • Attending fittings / design meetings and advising design on technical feasibility, recording all comments and problem solving any issues.

  • Support development of a standard sizing protocol that can be implemented successfully in manufacturing to achieve repeatability.

  • Liaise with the Knitwear machine programmer and knit-machine operators regarding each development. Specific knitwear knowledge used in communication with Stoll programmer to ensure they have solid information to efficiently alter programmes to meet production & design requests.

  • Work with each department across the production processes to ensure every unique instruction & material use is captured and detailed for future production via tech packs etc.

  • Organising & recording appropriate testing to flag potential areas of risk during production process.

  • Build on, improve, and maintain product development process and champion their adherence.

  • Work with the manufacturing team conveying your expertise to ensure prototypes produced are close to perfect every time with minimal change required to achieve signed off production samples.

  • Work closely with the whole factory team to ensure instructions are followed exactly, educating others on the benefits of your recommendations.

  • Constantly drive forward positive change together with the CI FLM

  • Ability to sign off team member skills regarding which processes and skills they are passed to work on. Enabling the HR FLM to record in and maintain training records on each team member.

  • Reduce number of quality issues by ensuring product development leaves as few possibilities for errors as possible.

  • Monitor production standards, assist CI FLM in production of reports on RFT principle.

  • Ensure 'perfect' sample of each item is held and recorded for any future reference.


Qualifications & Expérience :



  • Minimum 3 years' experience within a quality control role - preferably garment/knitwear focused.

  • Proven experience in a quality management role.

  • Garment technologist and/ or line writing positions

  • Strong technical knowledge - Knitwear preferable.

  • Understanding of all production processes regarding garment construction

  • Complete grasp on when an item reaches required QC Standards
