Where it all started

Ogilvie Homes was founded by the Ogilvie family in 1985 to promote home building projects and over the past 40 years the business has extended it’s reach across Scotland, from South Ayrshire to Angus. Ogilvie's customers are like family to them and as a family business they understand the importance of choosing the right home for you and your family - that's why Ogilvie homes are built with you in mind, reflecting your lifestyle, complimenting your environment and incorporating security features to keep you safe.

The Ogilvie Group

Established in 1953, the Ogilvie Group started life as a construction company in Stirling, Scotland. An on-going diversification strategy has seen the company successfully branch out into areas including Vehicle Contract Hire, Daily Rental, IT, Surveying and House Building. Today, the Ogilvie Group has a turnover of over £200 million, employs over 450 people, has offices throughout the UK and trading partnerships with organisations across Europe.

The Ogilvie Group now comprises :

Ogilvie Construction - Established in Stirling in 1946 to become one of Scotland’s largest privately owned construction companies. Their focus is to make a positive impact on the construction of a modern Scotland.

Ogilvie Fleet - Provides contract hire, leasing and fleet management solutions of UK and European companies operating vehicle fleets of all sizes.

Ogilvie Homes - Choosing an Ogilvie property is about more than just buying a house, it’s about having a home that delivers everything you need.

Malcolm Hughes - With years of knowledge, expertise, innovation and investment behind them, along with a great team and the top technology, they're in the best possible position to offer you a superior surveying service.

Net Defence - Making your enterprise and data secure is much more like a game of chess. The state of play is constantly changing, with several threats coming from all angles and with different capabilities, on this board even the rules of the game can change without warning.

The Ogilvie Group has been steered by three generations of the Ogilvie family and current Chief Executive, Duncan Ogilvie, is the grandson of the firm’s founder.

The Ogilvie Group is 100% owned by the Ogilvie family. They are delighted that they remain a truly independent company.

Their Values

Whilst the company has grown and changed considerably over sixty years, it still has the traditional values of a family-run business with a focus on people at its heart. Trust, transparency, accountability and reliability – these are the key tenants of the Ogilvie Group which set the tone for all dealings with clients, partners, and prospects.

Looking Ahead

Whilst the Ogilvie Group has traditional values, it has survived and flourished over more than six decades and a number of recessions, constantly adapting its business model and commercial approach to remain profitable and able to reinvest.

Careful planning and responsible management in the face of changing market forces has generated steady expansion through organic growth and acquisition.
Another key factor in the continued success of the business, and one related to the quality of the workforce, is the commitment to deliver the highest standard of quality and service across all of the operations.

This goal has been embraced throughout the group companies since inception, and is adopted by all – from the board members to grass roots staff.
