Chief Executive Officer
Cyber Fraud Centre
Edinburgh | Four-Day Working Week | £105,000 + Pension + Performance Bonus

Eden Scott is delighted to be partnering with the Cyber and Fraud Centre in the appointment of their next Chief Executive Officer. This is a unique opportunity to lead one of Scotland's most impactful social enterprises at a time of significant opportunity and growth.

About the Cyber and Fraud Centre
The Cyber Fraud Centre helps organisations and individuals prevent, prepare for, respond to and recover from cyber attacks and fraud. Working across industry, government, law enforcement and academia, the Centre plays a critical role in strengthening cyber resilience across the country.
As Scotland's, and the UK's, only cyber-focused social enterprise, the organisation operates independently and is entirely self-sustaining.  Their mission is straightforward: to deliver accessible, affordable, and relevant cyber and fraud services to organisations across the UK.
With a strong reputation, an experienced team and ambitious plans for the future, the Centre is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead the next phase of its development.

The Role
Based in Edinburgh and reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer will provide strategic, commercial and organisational leadership across the Centre.
Building on strong foundations, you will shape and deliver the organisation's long-term vision, ensuring sustainable growth while maintaining the Centre's social purpose and independence. You will lead the continued evolution of services, strengthen key partnerships and identify opportunities to expand the Centre's reach and influence across Scotland and beyond.

You will act as the organisation's principal ambassador, engaging senior stakeholders across government, law enforcement, industry and academia, while also serving as a credible public voice on cyber resilience and fraud prevention. Working closely with the Board and leadership team, you will ensure the organisation remains commercially successful, operationally effective and responsive to a threat landscape that is becoming increasingly complex.
This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible difference to Scotland's economic resilience, supporting organisations of all sizes to navigate rapidly evolving cyber and fraud risks.

The Person
We are seeking an outstanding individual; an accomplished and values-driven senior leader with understanding of the Scottish tech ecosystem who has experience operating at Chief Executive, Managing Director, Director or equivalent executive level.

You will bring:

  • A proven track record of strategic leadership and organisational growth.
  • Experience delivering commercial success, generating income and developing sustainable business models.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across multiple sectors.
  • Experience working with Boards and operating within robust governance frameworks.
  • The ability to lead, develop and inspire multidisciplinary teams.

Whilst in-depth technical expertise is not essential, you will have an understanding of the technology landscape and the commercial implications for modern businesses, as well as the commercial and strategic awareness required to lead effectively in a rapidly evolving environment.

Above all, you will be motivated by the opportunity to combine commercial success with social impact and lead an organisation with a clear and important purpose.

Why Join?
This is an opportunity to lead a highly respected organisation that is already making a significant contribution to Scotland's cyber resilience.
You will inherit a strong platform for growth, a passionate and capable team, and an organisation with genuine ambition and momentum. The Centre's independent funding model, strong stakeholder network and growing reputation create an excellent foundation from which to shape the next chapter of its success.
