Due to continued expansion, a well-established national wealth management business is seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Consultant and a Senior Consultant to join its growing corporate advisory team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys building trusted client relationships, providing strategic employee benefits advice, and helping organisations create valuable and cost-effective reward programmes for their workforce. This role can be based anywhere across central Scotland.
The successful candidate will manage and develop relationships with a portfolio of corporate clients, acting as a key adviser across a broad range of workplace benefits arrangements. Working closely with colleagues across specialist teams, they will provide tailored recommendations, support business development initiatives, and contribute to the ongoing growth of the employee benefits division.
The role offers exposure to clients of varying sizes and sectors, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality consultancy alongside identifying opportunities to expand existing relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consultancy and ongoing support to corporate clients across employee benefits solutions.
- Advise employers on workplace pension schemes, group risk products and private medical insurance arrangements.
- Conduct reviews of existing benefit structures and recommend suitable market solutions.
- Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Lead or support new business opportunities, client pitches and presentations.
- Work collaboratively with internal specialists to deliver integrated solutions.
- Monitor market developments, provider propositions and regulatory changes.
- Ensure all advice and recommendations are delivered in line with regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Contribute to the continued development of the employee benefits proposition and client service offering.
Applications are invited from professionals with proven experience within employee benefits, corporate financial planning, insurance consultancy or a related advisory environment.
Candidates should demonstrate:
- Broad technical knowledge across workplace pensions, group life assurance, group income protection, critical illness and healthcare schemes.
- Strong relationship management and client-facing skills.
- The ability to explain complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- A high level of professionalism, integrity and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications
- Industry qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
- Candidates working towards, or having completed, professional examinations such as the CII Diploma, PMI qualifications, or other relevant employee benefits certifications will be viewed favourably.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development is expected.
