Head of Sales & Customer Growth
We are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded individual to join the senior leadership team of a successful, multi-channel business entering an exciting phase of growth.
With established ecommerce, retail, marketplace, distribution, and customer service operations already in place, the opportunity is to build a more sophisticated and proactive approach to customer development, sales performance, and revenue growth. This role will be instrumental in helping the business maximise the value of its existing customer base while identifying new opportunities to drive sustainable growth.
This is not a traditional field sales leadership role. Instead, we are looking for a modern commercial leader who can combine strategic thinking, customer insight, CRM expertise, and team leadership to create a high-performing, data-driven sales function.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the customer growth strategy across acquisition, retention, reactivation, and account development.
- Lead and enhance the performance of customer-facing and internal sales teams, creating a culture of accountability, engagement, and commercial focus.
- Use customer data, CRM insights, and purchasing behaviour analysis to identify growth opportunities and improve customer lifetime value.
- Implement structured programmes to increase repeat business, cross-selling, upselling, and customer retention.
- Establish clear sales targets, KPIs and performance reporting frameworks.
- Work closely with marketing and commercial teams to ensure campaigns are converted into measurable sales opportunities.
- Drive the development of CRM, automation and AI-enabled tools that support more effective customer engagement and sales activity.
- Contribute to wider commercial transformation initiatives and help shape the future direction of the business.
Experience Required
- Experience in a senior sales, commercial, customer growth, revenue, or business development leadership role.
- A proven track record of delivering sales growth and commercial performance through teams.
- Experience leading and developing internal sales, customer service, telesales, or customer-facing teams.
- Strong understanding of CRM systems, customer segmentation, sales processes, and data-driven decision making.
- Ability to analyse customer behaviour and translate insight into commercial action.
- Experience implementing sales improvement initiatives, performance frameworks, and customer development programmes.
- Exposure to CRM, ERP, digital transformation, automation, or business improvement projects would be highly advantageous.
- A forward-thinking mindset with an interest in leveraging technology and AI to improve commercial outcomes.
- Confidence operating at senior leadership level, influencing stakeholders, and driving change across a growing business.
Application Process
This is a rare opportunity to join an established business with strong foundations, significant market presence, and ambitious growth plans. You will have the platform, support and autonomy to modernise the commercial function, develop high-performing teams and play a key role in shaping the next chapter of the company's success.
