Health and Safety Advisor

An opportunity has arisen for a Health & Safety Advisor to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business. The role will be operating within a fast-paced production and distribution environment in Central Scotland.

Working closely with the Health & Safety Manager and operational teams, you'll play a key role in supporting safe, compliant, and efficient operations across multiple sites. This is a hands-on position that will see you spending significant time within the warehouse environment, engaging with employees, identifying opportunities for improvement, and helping drive a positive health and safety culture throughout the business.

You'll be responsible for conducting workplace inspections and audits, supporting risk assessments and safe systems of work, investigating accidents, incidents and near misses, and ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented. The role will also involve delivering inductions, toolbox talks and training, supporting contractor management processes, maintaining health and safety documentation, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation including COSHH, PUWER and RIDDOR. Working collaboratively with operational teams, you'll help integrate best practice into day-to-day activities whilst supporting wider business safety initiatives.

The successful applicant will hold a NEBOSH General Certificate and will likely have 2/3 years' experience within a Health & Safety role. Candidates from manufacturing, production, food & beverage, FMCG, logistics, warehousing, engineering or similar operational environments are encouraged to apply. You will be a confident communicator with strong organisational skills, a proactive approach to problem solving, and the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels of the business.
