Eden Scott is delighted to be working with a respected organisation to recruit a Legal Administrator for an initial 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with legal administration, legal secretarial, or paralegal experience to join a professional and supportive team.
This role offers hybrid working, with the majority of work carried out remotely and occasional attendance required at the Edinburgh office.
About the Role
You will provide high-quality administrative support within a legal environment, assisting with a range of responsibilities including document management, meeting administration, minute taking, and handling confidential information. This role will suit someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with complex documentation in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing comprehensive legal and administrative support
- Organising and administering meetings, including preparing agendas and coordinating attendees
- Taking accurate minutes and maintaining detailed records
- Managing confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Reviewing and processing complex documentation
- Supporting the team with general legal administration tasks
- Ensuring documents and communications meet accessibility standards and guidelines
- Building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- An LLB in Law or equivalent professional experience in a legal administration, legal secretarial, or similar role
- A minimum of one year's experience within a legal environment
- Experience handling confidential information
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- The ability to work under pressure and analyse detailed documentation
- Excellent audio typing and minute-taking skills
- A collaborative approach with strong relationship-building capabilities
- Experience working with accessibility standards and guidelines
- The ability to multitask effectively and prioritise workloads
