Are you an experienced ecologist looking for the opportunity to lead projects, mentor colleagues and work on a genuinely diverse range of schemes?

We're seeking a Principal Ecologist to join a growing Belfast-based team of around 15 ecology professionals, including specialists in ornithology, mammals and habitats. The team is looking for a well-rounded ecologist who can independently manage projects from inception through to completion while helping to develop junior colleagues.

Project Portfolio

You'll work across a broad mix of public and private sector projects, including:

• Renewable energy developments
• Major infrastructure schemes
• Overhead line projects
• Residential and commercial developments
• Ports and coastal infrastructure
• Subsea stations and energy interconnectors
• RNLI and lighthouse projects

About You

• Proven ecological consultancy experience
• Ability to manage projects independently
• Strong report writing and client management skills
• Broad terrestrial ecology knowledge
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior staff

Aquatic ecology expertise would be advantageous, but the priority is finding a strong project manager and all-round ecologist.
