The Estates comprises of 14,500 acres in total and is run as a working Estates. Deer stalking, game shooting, renewables, forestry and farming are the main land use and parts of the Castle, gardens and exhibitions are open to the public throughout April to December, providing an important recreational benefit to members of the visiting public across a wide demographic.
