About EICC
The Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) hosts world-class events that bring people together to share ideas, build connections and inspire change. Located in the heart of Edinburgh, the venue combines a stunning city backdrop with cutting-edge facilities and a passionate team. From global brands like NatWest to TED, the EICC delivers impactful experiences that spark innovation and collaboration.
Established in the early 1990s as part of a major urban regeneration plan, the EICC was created to attract business tourism and boost Edinburgh’s economy. Owned by the City of Edinburgh Council, it operates independently in a global marketplace. With advanced technology and purpose-built spaces, the EICC continues to lead as a premier destination for national and international conferences and events.

- 1995 – Built in 1995, the EICC was the first venue in the world to feature revolving auditoria to optimise space.
- 60% – The EICC hosts around 60% of all global ‘Association’ events, positioning it as a leading destination for international clients.
- 2 million – Since opening, the EICC has welcomed over 2 million delegates from 120 countries.
- £1 billion – Events held at the EICC have helped generate almost £1 billion of economic impact for Edinburgh and the surrounding region.
- 60% – The EICC has reduced its Scope 1 & 2 emissions by 60% over the past decade.
- £100k – Through its partnership with RSPB Scotland, the EICC has raised nearly £100k for peatland restoration.
- £16 million – Gross turnover for the EICC in 2024 reached £16 million.
