About Impact Arts

Established in 1994, Impact Arts is Scotland’s leading arts charity whose vision is to transform people’s lives through creativity that tackles inequalities and addresses poverty.

We use creative engagement to build people’s confidence and empower them to achieve their potential. We place innovation, enterprise and creativity alongside outstanding delivery, sound management and a strong ethos of partnership to tackle society’s big issues.

The Boardwalk is our accessible arts and events space in the heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City. It generates income that directly supports Impact Arts’ work in wellbeing, employability, and strengthening communities.

Values

Our values are at the very heart of our organisation - Kind, Inclusive, Brave, Creative and Fun. We adopt a person centred and human rights-based approach through all of our delivery with people of all ages.

Our team are passionate about our work, and our artists bring a vibrancy to the organisation. Alongside this we bring strong business acumen and good governance to ensure the charity remains sustainable for the future.

Future Direction

Impact Arts has grown consistently over the last few years and we are planning for future expansion into new geographies in the year ahead.

We have a number of flagship programmes and we see opportunities to expand these across our areas of operation to meet the needs of more people and communities.

The Boardwalk is thriving, welcoming 45,000 visitors last year alone and we are exploring how we develop our venue over the coming years.
