MEP Quanity Surveyor
- 65,000 Annual
- Permanent
A Quantity Surveyor with M&E experience is required to join an established construction contractor delivering a major data centre project in Sweden. This is an excellent opportunity for Quantity Surveyors based in Scotland who are open to working on rotation or relocating for a technically challenging project, attractive package and long term career development. The successful candidate will join an experienced commercial team, with accommodation, food and transport costs fully covered.
The organisation delivers complex, large-scale construction projects and offers a collaborative, professional and safety-focused working environment. Reporting to the Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor and working alongside the Project Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial management of mechanical and electrical packages.
Responsibilities include:
- Administering MEP work packages and associated change orders.
- Capturing, assessing and validating variations before issue to the design team.
- Preparing tender and contract documentation, including bills of quantities.
- Undertaking cost analysis, value management and cost control.
- Supporting procurement strategy and subcontractor appointments.
- Identifying and managing commercial and contractual risks.
- Preparing and analysing tender costings.
- Providing advice on contractual claims.
- Valuing completed work and arranging payments.
- Producing detailed commercial and progress reports.
- Maintaining awareness of current construction contracts.
- Promoting a positive safety culture across the project.
Candidates should be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying and have a minimum of three years’ experience in a QS role. A good working knowledge of mechanical and electrical work packages is required, while previous experience on large-scale data centre projects would be advantageous but not essential.
A competitive salary and comprehensive package are available. Accommodation, food and all transport costs will be covered. Candidates can work on rotation returning home every 5 to 7 days every four weeks at the employer’s expense. Where this option is not used, the transport allowance can be retained by the employee.
Should the position be of interest, apply now or get in touch for further information and a confidential discussion.
