Quantity Surveyor

An opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a successful construction contractor headquartered in Aberdeen. Operating across a diverse portfolio of commercial projects, the company has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality solutions for a broad client base throughout the UK. Working as part of an experienced commercial team, you'll play a key role in the financial and contractual management of multiple projects, ensuring commercial performance is maximised and business objectives are achieved. You'll take responsibility for the commercial delivery of projects from pre-construction through to final account, overseeing budgets, cost planning, procurement, valuations, subcontractor management, variations, forecasting, invoicing, and commercial reporting. Working closely with operational teams, clients, consultants, and supply chain partners, you'll help drive project performance, maintain robust cost controls, identify opportunities for margin improvement, and ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements and commercial best practice.

The successful applicant will currently be a Quantity Surveyor or an Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in their career. We welcome applications from candidates across a range of sectors including main contracting, specialist contracting, civil engineering, building, and consultancy. Applicants should possess excellent commercial awareness, strong negotiation and communication skills, and experience managing projects through the full commercial lifecycle from tender stage to final account.
