An award winning pensions firm have an outstanding opportunity for a DB pensions consultant to join their Glasgow team.  The job would be well suited to someone either currently working in such a position, or to develop with minimum 2 years experience in defined benefit pensions and also client engagement experience. The specialist team focus on supporting organisations with the governance and management of workplace pension arrangements, providing the chance to work on varied projects, build strong client relationships, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality solutions in a dynamic environment.

Role Overview
The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted point of contact and ensuring services are delivered to agreed standards. Responsibilities include overseeing governance processes, coordinating projects such as regulatory updates and benefit equalisation, and providing clear, practical advice to senior stakeholders.

You will also have opportunities to support business development activities, including preparing proposals and attending presentations, while helping to refine internal processes for greater efficiency and client satisfaction.

Ideal Candidate
Someone with experience in defined benefit pensions or similar complex financial structures. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential, as you will regularly engage with senior decision-makers and simplify technical concepts into actionable guidance.

Experience in client management and project delivery is key, and professional qualifications in pensions or financial services would be an advantage, though not essential. A proactive, solution-focused approach will set you apart.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop client relationships across a portfolio of pension schemes
  • Deliver governance and compliance activities to high standards
  • Lead or support on projects such as regulatory changes and scheme equalisation
  • Act as a primary contact for clients and attend meetings
  • Contribute to proposals, pitches, and marketing initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for service improvements and growth
