Due to ongoing growth, a reputable and well established financial planning business require a Senior Paraplanner to join their Edinburgh-based team. This role is central to delivering a high-value client experience, supporting Financial Planners in managing complex portfolios and contributing to the firm’s continued expansion by ensuring client needs are met/exceeded.

Ideal for an experienced Paraplanner ideally with 4 or 5 year's in the role, with a Diploma in Financial Planning.  This opportunity offers scope for career progression, including pathways to Chartered Status and specialist technical development.  Or a route to financial advice if you wished.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality suitability reports and recommendations tailored to individual client needs.
  • Conduct detailed research and cashflow modelling to support financial planning strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with Financial Planners, contributing to client meetings and enhancing the overall client experience.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant client documentation throughout the advice journey.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of financial products and regulatory frameworks to ensure high standards of advice.
  • Support team development by mentoring colleagues, sharing best practices, and deputising for the Paraplanning Manager when required.
  • Stay current with industry developments and commit to ongoing professional learning.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strong technical expertise and precision in financial analysis and report writing.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively across teams.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to change, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • High levels of organisation and autonomy in managing workload and priorities.
  • A genuine interest in supporting others and contributing to a culture of shared learning.
