A nationwide wealth manager due to ongoing growth is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join its growing Glasgow office. This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong financial planning professional who enjoys working collaboratively with advisers and delivering high-quality client outcomes through detailed research and analysis, looking to join a supportive team and they also offer very flexible working with a large degree of hybrid/ work from home arrangements.

The successful candidate will play a central role in supporting financial advisers by producing detailed analysis, preparing client reports, and ensuring recommendations are underpinned by robust research. This is a key technical position within the advice process, offering exposure to a wide variety of client cases across pensions, investments, and protection planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse client financial positions, objectives, and risk profiles to support tailored advice solutions
  • Conduct product and market research to identify suitable financial planning strategies
  • Prepare high-quality suitability reports and recommendation documentation in line with regulatory standards
  • Work closely with advisers to review and refine proposed advice, providing technical insight and challenge where appropriate
  • Produce cashflow modelling and planning analysis to support long-term financial strategies
  • Maintain accurate and fully compliant client records across internal systems
  • Ensure all documentation and client interactions meet internal compliance and regulatory expectations

Ideally they are looking for a detail-oriented professional who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent organisational skills. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced advisory environment and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.

  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, client-friendly reports
  • A proactive and collaborative approach when working with advisers and wider teams
  • High standards of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Confidence using financial planning tools and back-office systems

Skills & Experience

  • Diploma in Financial Planning (Level 4) or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working within an IFA or wealth management setting
  • Broad knowledge of pensions, investments, and protection products
  • Familiarity with cashflow modelling and research platforms
  • Experience maintaining compliant client records and supporting regulated advice processes
