Rosebery Estates is a group of estates stretching from the coastal shores of the Firth of Forth near Edinburgh to the uplands of the Pentland Hills and the Scottish Borders.
Rosebery Estate is embedded within the local community. They are part of an ecologically diverse area of Midlothian. Arable land & woodlands complement hill sheep farms & grouse moorland in a working landscape of extraordinary character & beauty.
The Estates thrive on enterprises as diverse as the beautiful landscapes they sit within. Forestry and farming, fishing and other country pursuits work hand in hand with their stewardship of the environment.

Rosebery Venues
Rosebery Venues’ collection of prestigious exclusive-use venues includes the spectacular 13th-Century Barnbougle Castle, the charming Rosebery Steading and the exquisite late-Georgian country mansion, Rosebery House. Our breathtaking locations have everything people could want and it can be hired exclusively.
Each distinguished venue offers a blend of rich history and Scottish heritage within an outstanding location. Across all venues, historical details have been married with state-of-the-art technology and lighting to help make a lasting impression.
Rosebery Steading is a spectacular 18th-century steading conversion and barn space. It has been lovingly restored from a 200-year-old "farm-toun" into a versatile entertaining space with luxurious accommodation.
The Steading is set amid private Estate grounds and rolling countryside to the south of Edinburgh. Two expansive barn spaces cater for up to 100 people seated and there is accommodation for 28 guests in 5 properties.
Barnbougle Castle - A Versatile Event Space
Barnbougle offers the most memorable of event spaces - the very best that Scotland has to offer. This 13th century Castle is one of Scotland's hidden treasures. Only minutes from Dalmeny House, the majestic family home of the 7th Earl of Rosebery. It is well located as a venue - secluded, yet close to Edinburgh and easily accessed.
Its rooms are versatile and inspiring, ranging from the stately and magnificent to the intimate and secluded. The sixty-foot long Banqueting Hall has a Minstrel's Gallery and breathtaking views. The grand Scottish Library has thousands of books and open access onto the sea-facing terraces and private beaches.
The Castle caters for up to 140 guests seated or 200 standing and up to 450 in marquees. This makes the venue versatile - whether for large-scale entertaining or more intimate gatherings with family and friends. Bespoke weddings, meetings and corporate events are all welcomed.
