Chartered financial planner

  • Glasgow
  • 70,000 - 90,000 Annual
  • Permanent

A rare opportunity to join a boutique chartered independent financial planning firm has arisen in Glasgow.  They have a strong reputation for integrity, long-term thinking, and truly client-centric advice. Over the past few years, the business has doubled in size, reflecting both sustained growth and continued client trust.  Despite this growth, the firm has remained firmly independent and deeply committed to its founding ethos and ethical values. The focus is, and will continue to be, on delivering high-quality advice that places clients’ best interests first.

Due to continued expansion, the firm is seeking a Chartered Financial Planner to join its growing team. This role would suit an experienced adviser who is or isn't able to transfer an existing client bank, which will be supplemented by clients from them to support further growth and long-term success.

The successful candidate will benefit from a highly supportive structure, allowing them to focus on advice and relationship management rather than administration.

  • Full paraplanner and administrative support, enabling advisers to maximise time with clients
  • A stable, growing firm that has successfully doubled in size in recent years
  • Ongoing investment in people, systems, and professional development
  • A genuinely client-centric culture built on strong ethics and long-term relationships
  • A competitive remuneration package with bonus and benefits
  • Flexibility and autonomy in the role

Key duties include:

  • Provide holistic, independent financial planning advice to private clients
  • Build and develop long-term client relationships based on trust and transparency
  • Work collaboratively with paraplanners and administrators to deliver high-quality advice
  • Contribute positively to the firm’s culture, values, and future growth

Key skills/ experience required:

  • Chartered Financial Planner, or actively working towards Chartered status
  • Proven experience providing holistic financial planning advice
  • Ability to transfer a portion of an existing client bank
  • Strong alignment with an ethical, client-first approach
  • Relationship-driven, professional, and values led

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a relaxed yet professional firm during an exciting time in their growth.  Please get in touch for a strictly confidential discussion about the opportunity (or potentially other vacancies in the area) with Alison Curran prior to progressing further.
