We are currently partnering with a fast-growing and ambitious business to appoint a Financial Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take ownership of day-to-day finance operations within a growing organisation undergoing significant expansion.
Reporting into senior leadership, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the finance function, delivering accurate financial information, maintaining strong financial controls and supporting business decision-making. Working closely with operational and commercial teams, you will help drive efficiency, improve processes and provide valuable financial insight across the organisation.
Our client is a highly successful SME operating within a project-led environment. Having achieved strong growth in recent years, the business is continuing to scale through organic expansion. This is a hands-on role within a collaborative and fast-paced culture, offering the opportunity to make a genuine impact while growing alongside the business.
Your role will include:
- Managing purchase and sales ledger activities, ensuring invoices, payments and customer billings are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Overseeing month-end close processes, including accruals, prepayments, journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Completing bank, supplier and credit card reconciliations while maintaining strong financial controls.
- Supporting payroll administration, tax compliance activities and statutory submissions.
- Driving continuous improvement of finance processes, reporting capabilities and operational efficiencies as the business grows.

We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience within a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or senior finance position with responsibility for day-to-day finance operations and accounting.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end processes and accounting controls.
- Experience using accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in a busy small to medium scale enterprise is essential. You will be the sort of person who thrives in taking ownership.
