Senior Quantity Surveyor

An experienced Quantity Surveyor is required to join the senior management team of a highly respected contractor based in Inverness.

Reporting directly to the head of the business, you will take ownership of all commercial activities across a diverse portfolio of civils projects throughout the Highlands and North of Scotland. The business has built an excellent reputation over many years for high-quality delivery and is entering an exciting period of growth, creating an opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in shaping the future of the commercial function.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost estimation, procurement, budgeting, financial reporting, subcontract administration, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Beyond the day-to-day commercial management of projects, this role offers a unique opportunity to implement best practice, introduce robust commercial processes, and establish your own commercial blueprint within a growing business.

This position would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor who enjoys working autonomously and has the confidence to challenge existing practices, improve processes, and drive commercial performance. The company is seeking someone who can become a trusted advisor to directors/ownership and help support the next phase of growth. With a strong pipeline of secured work and ambitious expansion plans, there is genuine scope to build and develop the commercial team, with intention to appoint a Graduate or Assistant Quantity Surveyor in the near future, where mentorship and support will be required.

You will have a proven track record as a QS and possess strong commercial awareness, contractual knowledge, and financial management skills.
