(Senior) Quantity Surveyor
A Senior Quantity Surveyor or mid-level Quantity Surveyor is required to join the commercial team of a well-established engineering contractor delivering infrastructure projects across Scotland.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of multiple projects, ensuring strong financial performance while supporting operational teams and maintaining excellent client and subcontractor relationships. You will work across a wide variety of projects, supporting clients within a range of sectors that include Education, Renewables, Healthcare, Retail & Commercial.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Managing valuations and applications for payment under a NEC contracts.
- Monitoring project costs, forecasts and programme delivery.
- Preparing monthly commercial reports.
- Managing subcontractor procurement and accounts.
- Identifying and managing variations and compensation events.
- Supporting material procurement and compliance requirements.
- Maintaining accurate commercial records and productivity reporting.
- Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and project teams.
- Ensuring contractual obligations are effectively managed.
You will hold an HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, coupled with previous Quantity Surveying experience. You will possess strong commercial awareness and a sound understanding of contractual obligations, alongside advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building abilities are essential, together with strong organisational skills and a full UK driving licence.
