Eden Scott is delighted to be partnering with our client in St Andrews to recruit an experienced HR Business Partner on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the organisation during a period of growth and evolution, working closely with leaders and teams to deliver proactive, commercially focused people solutions that support organisational effectiveness, employee engagement, talent development and business performance. The role will play a key part in delivering the organisation's People Plan and shaping a positive and high-performing workplace culture.
As a trusted advisor to leaders and managers, you will provide both strategic and operational HR support across the full employee lifecycle, while contributing to change initiatives, workforce planning, leadership development and employee engagement activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Business Partnering
- Develop strong relationships with leaders and managers across designated business areas
- Support the delivery of organisational and departmental objectives through effective people strategies
- Provide pragmatic, commercially focused HR advice aligned to business priorities
- Coach and support managers on leadership capability, people management and team effectiveness
Employee Relations
- Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters including performance management, absence, conduct and workplace concerns
- Support complex casework where required
- Ensure policies and practices are applied consistently and in line with employment legislation
- Promote a positive, inclusive and engaging employee experience
- Organisational Change & Transformation
- Support organisational change initiatives, restructures and workforce planning activities
- Partner with leaders to implement change effectively and minimise operational disruption
- Contribute to initiatives that strengthen culture, engagement and organisational effectiveness
Talent & Development
- Support talent management, succession planning and workforce planning activities
- Partner with leaders to identify learning and development needs
- Contribute to leadership development and employee growth initiatives
- Support recruitment activity for key business-critical hires
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to wider People Team projects and organisational initiatives
- Use people data and insights to identify trends and inform decision-making
- Drive continuous improvement across people processes, policies and employee experience initiatives
About You
We're keen to speak with HR professionals who can demonstrate:
- Experience operating as an HR Business Partner, HR Partner or in a similar senior HR role
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Experience supporting managers across a broad range of people issues and employee relations matters
- A proven ability to build credibility and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Experience supporting organisational change and transformation initiatives
- Strong coaching, communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational delivery
- Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- CIPD qualification or equivalent experience is desirable
