Eden Scott are delighted to be representing a leading social housing organisation in Glasgow to appoint a permanent Finance Manager. Based in Glasgow with a hybrid working pattern, the role sits at the heart of the organisation and is instrumental in their continued success.

The Role
This is a senior leadership opportunity for a qualified accountant who wants to lead an established finance function and play a key role in the future direction of the organisation. Reporting to the Director of Finance, ICT & Resources, you'll manage a team of five and take responsibility for:
· Financial planning and budgeting
· Management accounts and reporting
· Cashflow and treasury management
· Financial controls and compliance
· Supporting strategic decision-making
· Leading and developing the finance team
· Overseeing the organisation's factoring service
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work closely with senior colleagues, managers and governing boards, helping turn financial information into informed business decisions.

The Ideal Candidate
You'll be a qualified accountant (ICAS, ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong leadership experience and the confidence to operate as a trusted finance partner across the organisation.
Essential Experience:
· Professional accountancy qualification
· Significant experience in financial planning, control and risk management
· Management experience, including leading and developing teams
· Strong financial and statutory accounting skills
· Excellent communication skills, including explaining financial information to non-finance audiences
· Advanced Excel and finance systems knowledge
· Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
· Alignment with values and commitment to continuous improvement
Desirable Experience:
· Senior finance leadership experience
· Social housing, charity or voluntary sector background
· Treasury management expertise
· Board reporting experience
· Knowledge of pensions, loan portfolios and covenant compliance
· Experience delivering efficiency improvements and value for money initiatives
