A well-established regional financial planning firm is seeking an experienced Financial Planner to join its growing advisory team in Blantyre.  This is an excellent opportunity for an adviser who enjoys building long-term client relationships and delivering holistic financial planning rather than focusing purely on business development. Due to continued expansion, the successful candidate will benefit from an established client bank, dedicated paraplanning and administration support, and the opportunity to become a key part of a respected regional business with ambitious growth plans.

You will work with an existing portfolio of clients, helping them navigate key financial decisions and supporting them in achieving their long-term objectives. The role offers the chance to provide comprehensive planning advice across pensions, investments, protection and retirement planning while working within a collaborative and highly supportive environment.

The business prides itself on providing advisers with the tools, infrastructure and technical support required to focus on delivering exceptional client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop relationships with an established client portfolio.
  • Deliver personalised financial planning advice tailored to individual client objectives.
  • Conduct regular client meetings and reviews.
  • Create and implement financial planning strategies covering retirement, investment and protection needs.
  • Work closely with paraplanners and administration colleagues to ensure a seamless client experience.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships and improve client outcomes.
  • Maintain high professional and regulatory standards at all times.
  • Keep up to date with industry developments and regulatory requirements.

About You

The successful individual will likely demonstrate:

  • Level 4 Diploma qualified as a minimum.
  • Current Statement of Professional Standing (SPS).
  • Experience providing holistic financial planning advice.
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills.
  • A consultative, client-focused approach.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Particularly Attractive

  • Chartered Financial Planner status, or actively working towards Chartered.
  • Experience advising high-net-worth and mass affluent clients.
  • Strong technical planning knowledge across pensions and investments.

What's on Offer

  • Existing client bank from day one.
  • Full paraplanning and administrative support.
  • Established referral opportunities.
  • Competitive basic salary and bonus structure.
  • Long-term career progression within a growing regional firm.
  • Support towards Chartered status and continued professional development.
  • Collaborative and professional team culture.

If you're looking to join a business where advice quality, client relationships and professional development are genuinely valued, please get in touch/apply now for a confidential conversation with Alison Curran prior to progressing.
