Project Manager– Environmental Services

The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a growing EIA team and play a key role in delivering a diverse portfolio of environmental and development projects across Scotland.
This is an opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys combining technical expertise, project leadership and client engagement. You will lead projects from early concept through to completion, working closely with clients, multidisciplinary teams, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality, commercially successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Technical Leadership
- Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of projects to agreed timelines and budgets
- Develop and maintain project programmes, budgets and progress reporting
- Provide technical input and deliver studies aligned with your area of expertise
- Identify and manage risks, ensuring proactive resolution of issues
- Embed health, safety and environmental considerations across all project stages
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards and internal procedures
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships
- Proactively manage client expectations, communication and project updates
- Represent the business in meetings, site visits and industry forums
- Support the ongoing development of key client accounts
Commercial & Business Development
- Take ownership of project financial performance, including budgeting and cost control
- Support invoicing, forecasting and financial reporting
- Contribute to the preparation of bids, tenders and proposals
- Identify opportunities for new work and support wider business growth initiatives
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment
- Mentor and support the development of junior team members
- Identify and communicate resourcing requirements effectively
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to improving internal processes, tools and project delivery approaches
- Support the adoption of innovative solutions and best practice
- Provide insights to senior leadership on strategic and operational improvements
About You
You are a confident and proactive project manager or senior consultant with a strong track record in delivering environmental or development projects.
You will bring:
- Excellent organisational and project management skills
- Strong communication and client-facing experience
- A collaborative approach with the ability to lead and influence teams
- EIA Experience is preferred but not essential
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of project financials
- A commitment to quality, professionalism, and continuous improvement
- A genuine passion for delivering positive environmental outcomes
